Technology Digital Thermometer La Crosse have had problems with products that show unreliable humidity
indication in the past, but I wanted something to know how dry (or
moist) the air in my Alaska home was getting. We have issues with
frost/ice on inside of windows when it gets cold outside, but if it gets
too dry, my son and I get bloody noses.
My home weather station is made by La Crosse, and I have been amazed at how well it works (even in cold conditions) and how long the AA batteries last (over a year, even outside in the cold).
It seemed like a natural pick to use this company again.
I bought two of these and immediately placed them side by side to see how different they would be. After they had 10+ minutes to stabilize, they were reading practically the same. I now have them in two different spots in my house and they give me a good sense of how humid the air is.
